June – Month of the Sacred Heart of Jesus: Love, Devotion & Hope

In the Catholic Church, the month of June is traditionally dedicated to the devotion to the Sacred Heart . This special form of spirituality invites us to contemplate the pierced, flaming Heart of Christ—a symbol of divine love, devotion, and mercy. Originally popularized through the visions of St. Margaret Mary Alacoque , devotion to the Sacred Heart spread worldwide in the 19th century—with a particular focus on June to this day. The Sacred Heart reminds us that Christ encounters us with an open, suffering, and yet loving heart. Sacred Heart Fridays (every first Friday of the month) are especially inviting for Eucharist and silent adoration—ideal for uniting one's own heart with His.
